Hive Live 2 was held on Sunday October 23, 2005, because of the success of Hive Live 1, a bigger venue was required – The Annandale Hotel, complete with full PA system, lights, monster raffle and a sausage sizzle out the back!!! The main prize this time was a Fender Squire Electric Guitar, Angela Catterns of VEGA 95.3FM gave us a hand with the draw and her new radio station even donated some CD's & DVD's as prizes... There were ten bands covering over thirty songs, and so we used two drummers, Keith Newman again and a young drummer, Luke Herbert. The first band hit the stage at midday and the last band was done at 5.00pm. The students were fantastic, some had worked on their performance from the previous Hive Live and others had special costumes made, we had over 200 live music supporters watching on. The day would not have been made possible without the help of Guitar Factory, Parramatta, Music 101, Music City, Jacksons' Rare Guitars, The Bass Player and Hotsource. There were many others that helped both on and off the stage. A big THANK YOU to you all, it was an amazing day! |
